NOURISH YOUR MIND AND BODY
Mindfulness refers to the idea of being aware, present, and fully in the moment; a practice of activating your five senses during daily activities. This awareness of being in touch with your internal cues helps you to slow down, be more present, and make thoughtful decisions for your health.
Here are a few tips about mindfulness:
- Focusing on learning how to slow down and intentionally enjoy mindful moments can lead to better health.
- Maintaining mindfulness during stressful times can be beneficial. The immune system is often suppressed when the body and mind are in a stressed state – slow down for self-care by focusing on one task at a time.
- We are often stressed because we are overworked. Creating habits that involve mindfulness gives you the tools needed to focus on happiness and productivity.
- Mindful eating is the practice of being in touch with one’s internal hunger and fullness signals. This awareness tunes into all five senses to add pleasure during each bite or sip.
- Slowing down is relaxing. It can bring connection to the mind and body — enhancing your overall well-being.
