At the University of Portland, we know that the places where our community gathers—where we share meals, conversations, and moments of connection—are essential to shaping a vibrant, welcoming campus experience. As we prepare to expand our dining operations to the north side of campus in Lund Family Annex, we have an extraordinary opportunity to imagine together what this space can become for our campus.
Situated at the corner of North Warren Street and North Portsmouth Avenue, and adjacent to the Beauchamp Recreation & Wellness Center, the Lund Family Annex sits at one of the most dynamic intersections of campus life. With steady foot traffic, easy accessibility, and natural visibility from both campus and the surrounding neighborhood, the Annex is positioned to become a true crossroads; a place to refuel, reconnect, gather, and belong.
The Annex will be more than a dining location; it is a future hub of hospitality and everyday nourishment. From energizing breakfasts to chef-crafted lunches, from late-night bites that keep community alive after dark to thoughtfully curated menus, this space will be designed to reflect the tastes, rhythms, and traditions of our Pilot community.
While the Lund Family Annex is an exciting addition in its own right, it is also an important step toward realizing our long-term vision for a new student center; not a replacement for it, but an investment that helps clear the path and build the momentum needed to bring that larger project to life.
But to bring Lund Family Annex fully to life, we need your voice.
Your insights will guide the flavors we feature, the experiences we create, and the sense of home we hope this new gathering place will inspire. This brief survey is your chance to help shape a campus destination designed for you and with you in mind.
